On January 20,1961 John Fitzgerald Kennedy became the youngest elected President of the United States, at 43. He also became the United States first Catholic President. In the short time he was in office, Kennedy managed to leave a lasting impact on the country. This Impact began with his Inaugural Address, which encompassed the major themes of his campaign, and set the tone for his following presidency.
